Discover BOCHE story, a family adventure that has always placed innovation at the heart of its values. Distinctive expertise in the field of footwear perpetuated over generations. 

1904

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Boche family created an artisanal shoemaker shop in the West of France, in Deux-Sèvres (79). 2 generations will suceed one another to perpetuate the authentic know-how of shoe repair, combining tailor-made, elegance and comfort.

We can still find a vestige there of this time in Saint-Sauveur de Givre en Mai, where it all began: a shoe print is engraved in the stone in front of the old family shop entrance, located in the Court of Miracles.

1960

Proud to represent a region traditionally focused on footwear solution, it was the grandchildren's turn forward the familial business in 1960.

Michel, Adrien, Jean-Pierre created the company “BOCHE Frères”, in the heart of the Bressuire bocage and distinguished themselves on the national work shoe market, by developing numerous models of personal protective shoes for work and by directing its offer towards professional customers.

1988

The 1980s marked a real turning point for "BOCHE" company which gradually took a turn towards globalization. After manufacturing professional outdoor shoes for construction, agriculture or safety sector for a long time, BOCHE Brothers were thereafter interested in firefighting world. They will very quickly established themselves as a reference, by offering an innovative boot, halfway between the classic boot and the military boots: a boot with double side closure.

Philippe Boche, 4th generation of the BOCHE family, then joined the adventure, thus continuing the family saga. In 1988, as a result to its initial sucess, BOCHE Frères became BOCHE and specialised into intervention footwear for firefighters. 

2000

From the beginning of the 2000s, the company took another dimension by answering tender from Civil Defense and Firefighting brigades bringing a real sucess at an international level particularly with North African countries. 

2024

BOCHE company, now owned by 3 shareholders - Philippe BOCHE, Thibault PARPILLON and Mathieu JOUBERT, is constantly innovating, in particular by borrowing technologies developed in the world of sport such as racing. or cycling, with new quick lacing system, linings with waterproof-breathable membranes or high-performance soles.

BOCHE manufactures more than 90,000 pairs of intervention shoes per year and equips more than 8 firemen out of 10 in France, including BSPP (Brigade de Sapeurs-Pompiers de Paris) and the BMPM (Bataillon de Marins Pompiers de Marseille).
